Professional Services
Welcome to KCA Physical Therapy!
Pelvic Health
I provide pelvic health services across the lifespan for all genders. Some of my specialized pelvic health services include:
Prenatal - starting physical therapy during your pregnancy can improve symptoms you’re experiencing, prepare you for the best possible birth, and help set you up for a smooth post-partum recovery
Post-partum - whether you are 2 weeks or 10 years post-partum, I’m able to help and provide services that accommodate your needs. This means immediately after birth, for the first 3 months, I can come to your home so you don’t have to worry about what to do with baby during an appointment. After the initial period, you are still welcome to bring any children with you. I understand about the challenges of child care and just want to see you get the help you need to get back to life as you envision it!
Screenings - not sure if you are experiencing pelvic floor symptoms? Wondering if you have abdominal separation? I’m more than happy to provide you a one-time in-person screening to see if pelvic health physical therapy would benefit you.
Sports Specific Rehab and Training
I am passionate about helping people get back to doing what they love. One of the things you will never hear at KCA Physical Therapy is “just stop running/jumping/lifting [insert sport of choice here].” I believe everyone can and should be able to participate in the activities that bring them joy, and I want to help you get back to whatever that is pain and symptom-free.
In addition to physical therapy sessions aimed at sports rehabilitation, I also provide follow-on run coaching for distances from 5Ks to ultras (and everything in between). I like to conduct at least one in-person appointment before beginning a coaching relationship because I feel that the in-person evaluation is extremely critical to the success we can achieve together.
Pediatrics
KCA Physical Therapy is named for my daughters (Kalli, Christin, and Anna), so pediatrics comes very naturally to me. I work with children ages 4-18 with various needs:
Pelvic health - whether this means that the child continues to have accidents well into adolescence, struggles with stomach pain or constipation, or is a young athlete already experiencing low back pain, I can help resolve any of those issues and more.
Athletes - I’ve worked with middle school and high school athletes competing in a wide range of sports: cross-country, track, weight-lifting, lacrosse, rugby, soccer, football, basketball, field hockey, cheer, etc. Additionally, I see dancers and gymnasts from a young age, which I believe can help prevent them from a lifetime of injuries and pain.
